Empowering Youth Through Legal Literacy: The Role of Civic Education in Increasing Teen Engagement with Law and Policy

Research Topic:

Strengthening youth through legal literacy is an important strategy for increasing teenagers' participation in civilian lives and increasing the growing understanding of policies that affect everyday life. By integrating legal education into the syllabus in high school, we can give students to understand their rights and responsibilities, which can lead to better involvement in democratic processes such as voting and legal activities. Research will focus on the discovery of the relationship between legal education and political participation, the purpose of showing that informed young active, responsible citizens are more likely to become a citizen.

Research Question:
How does legal literacy and civilian training include legal reading skills and civilian training in high school syllabus, especially on voting and lawyer with law and politics?

Research Objectives:

1. To investigate how the legal literature program affects the understanding of students under the law by law.
 

2. To assess the relationship between legal education and increase political participation among high school pupils, especially in relation to voting and political discussion.
 

3. To detect potential obstacles to implementing effective legal literature programs in schools and ways to remove them.

Methodology:

This research will use an approach to mixed method when using both qualitative and quantitative data. High school students will be mapped to understand their understanding of legal subjects before and after receiving civil education. In addition, interviews will be conducted with teachers who have implemented legal literature programs in their classes. Statistical analysis will be used to determine the relationship between being exposed to legal education and an increase in political participation.

 

Expected Outcome:

The study is expected to show that legal literacy affects youth engagement with civilian processes. It will tell how well students have a good opportunity to participate in elections, participate in political discourse and advocate for political changes. In addition, the purpose of research is to identify the most effective methods for teaching law and policy in upper secondary schools.

 

Significance of this part:

This research will provide valuable insight into its potential role in the importance of legal education in high school and shape future generations of busy citizens. By emphasizing the importance of legal literacy, studies can serve as a catalyst for policy change, and encourage schools to use legal education as part of the main law. Conclusions will contribute to the ongoing dialogue on educational reforms, and students must be equipped with equipment to navigate the complex legal and political systems in which they live.
