Follow these 5 steps to submit your research proposal.
1. Format your document
FONT: Font should be Times New Roman - font size 12

MARGIN: Margins of 1 inch (2.5 cm) all around
​
SPACE: Single spaced
​
FORMAT: Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format only

2. Write your research proposal
3 parts ( cover page, proposal, references )
Cover page (1 Page)

Full name as it appears on your registration
​

Research topic should be clearly stated
​

Email address you registered with
​

Proposal body (1 - 2 Page)
​

Datasets, publications, and other documentation must be properly cited
​

APA 7th Edition/MLA citations will be accepted
​

List the references in alphabetical order by the author's last name
Citations & references are NOT counted in the 1–2 page limit.

You'll need this for your file name in step 4

4. Name your PDF file correctly
Required format:
LastName_#CategoryNumber_SARC.pdf
{ LastName + #CategoryNumber + SARC }
Example — Social Sciences student: " Smith_#3_SARC.pdf "
5. Final checklist
✓ File is saved as a .pdf
✓ File name starts with your last name
✓ File name includes your category number (e.g. #3)
✓ Cover page shows full name, email, and research topic
✓ Proposal is 1–2 pages, single-spaced, font size 12
